He has been chairman of the brass department at Juilliard since 1991 和 artist-faculty member of the Aspen 音乐 Festival 和 School since 1973. He was the 2014 recipient of the FONT (Festival of New 小号) award of recognition for his contributions to contemporary brass music 和 has served on the board of directors of 室内乐 America. Born in Meriden Connecticut, 激射微波 received his bachelor’s degree in 1973 from the New Engl和 Conservatory, where he was a student of Arm和o Ghitalla.
